MIDDLE SCHOOL
AND
HIGH SCHOOL
Grades 6th-12th
Okaloosa Academy Charter School focuses on providing opportunities for students to achieve greatness even under imperfect circumstances. We focus on providing a safe and caring environment where every child is valued and respected. Taking the time to help students to realize their potential is invaluable to helping them become successful.
Opportunities available to our students begin with a strong academic core, which is provided by our in-field and highly qualified faculty. Credit recovery is essential to our students who have fallen behind academically. We are excited to offer Edgenuity, a computer-based credit recovery program. Students are able to work at their own pace to complete coursework for middle and high school credits.
Some of the most exciting opportunities available at Okaloosa Academy include electives in Art, Music, and our Leadership and Mentoring Programs. Students in the art department have won many awards, including The National Duck Stamp award honorable mention. The leadership program has been instrumental in helping our students learn to give back to their community; they have worked at a local food bank as well as helping with Children in Crisis and the Ronald McDonald House. Mentoring younger students, after a screening process, is a wonderful opportunity for our 11th and 12th grade students. The mentoring program gives older students a sense of purpose and accomplishment and provide someone to look up to for the younger students.
